What Is The Best Smelling Scented Candle Ever
Having a scented candle in your room can really make a difference when it comes to the smell and ambiance of the room. There are even scientific studies in olfactory stimulation that conclude that smells can have mood altering affects, creating a relaxing or stimulating environment. When it comes to the power of scent, none of us can debate the nostalgia we sense when we smell our first loves perfume, our Mom’s hand lotion, or baking cookies or brewing coffee that reminds us of our grandparents house.
Quality Scented Candles
Quality scented candles are expensive and can really change the scent of the room, so it is only logical to spend our hard earned cash on the best smelling scented candle possible. Problem is that this is a bit subjective. One person will prefer one scent over the other and even our own preferences will change over time. Although, there are some extra nice smelling candles that most people will prefer.
Vanilla Scented Candles
Some all time favorite candles are vanilla scented candles, cucumber melon scented candles, and the pumpkin scented candle. Personally, when I first discovered the melon scented candles that they used to sell at Illuminations before they went out of business, I became hooked. That was also around the time I discovered the wonderful cucumber melon scented lotion that Bath & Body Works used to feature. The cucumber melon scented wallflowers were amazing too.
I also experimented with other candle scents, but I would usually come back to my main stays. Which were vanilla candles or pumpkin candles. Vanilla is actually one of the most pleasing fragrances known to humans. I have heard stories of ladies in the olden days putting a little vanilla behind their ear as perfume. I also heard of an interview with Robert Smith of the Cure who said vanilla was his favorite fragrance. Who knew, even new wave, alternative, guys love the comforting aroma of vanilla. Plus, the scent is clean and light, which most people prefer.
Pumpkin Scented Candles
Pumpkin scented candles are one of my all time favorites, and until recently were my all time favorite. Pumpkin candles are seasonal and are featured during the fall. What better way to remind us of fond fall memories as we smell the spicy sweet pumpkin candle when we come inside from the brisk fall air. The scent of pumpkin reminds us of fall, Halloween, the Harvest Season, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I can’t think of a better way to get ready for the fall season than to place some lightly scented pumpkin candles around the home.
Pumpkin shaped candles are also great decorations for Halloween, Harvest Time, and Thanksgiving, but we are focusing on the pumpkin scented candles. These sometimes referred to as pumpkin spice candles or pumpkin pie candles.
Yankee Candles
As summer winds down, and school begins, and the weather starts to cool, I always make it a point to purchase some new pumpkin scented candles. After all, these candles are very popular and only available for a limited time. Candles come in different price and quality ranges. I try to get a clean burning candle such as Yankee Candles. Some of the lower quality candles don’t burn as clean, and who knows what we are actually breathing as they burn.
You can get Yankee Candles online or at Bed, Bath, & Beyond or similar type stores. I like to get mine at Target, because they cost a little less. The other day I was at Target and I walked by the candles section and realized it was that time of year. I was also happy to see that the pumpkin scented Yankee Candles were on sale. So I picked out a couple and then started sampling the other new candles scents.
The Best Scented Candle
There is a new candle scent from Yankee Candle called Beach Party. It’s from the home and classic collection. Which is sold exclusively at Target. The closest from Yankee Candle or Amazon you can find is Sun & Sand. I was drawn to the candle because I had no idea what beach party would smell like. To my surprise it smelled wonderful. It has a light scent of coconut and sunshine. Coconut candles are also super popular, but this candle just has a faint coconut scent, sort of like a really mild suntan lotion and some other scent that I can’t place, such as fresh air or sunshine. You can’t go wrong with any of the above candle scents, but beach party is a refreshing change that will surprise you.
Black Chime Candle 20 pack
Chime candles are 4″ tapers that burn for about 2 hours. They are just the right size to place in chimes and advent candle holders. The black ones are often used in candle magic and rituals and spells, but they can also make a nice decoration for a special event or a dark themed party. These mini tapers are usually inexpensive and the color is solid all the way through. Which makes it possible to carve symbols or names in the candle and still retain it’s original color.
